New Job is exciting for almost everyone. We do not know yet what to expect, we are waiting for new tasks and responsibilities, we are completely changing the environment and we have to find ourselves in a new environment. Whether it’s the first job in your life or the next step in your career, everyone can feel equally stressed.

The key to getting a good job is writing your resume competently. There are websites that can help you write a resume, but it can cost a lot of money. For a start, you can order a cheap resumes, it will give a good start to your career.

Will I be well received? Will people look favorably at me? How to make a good first impression? – such questions are often asked before the first days in the new workplace . It’s no secret that for the majority of employees nowadays, one of the most important motivating and activating factors is a good atmosphere. However, when we enter a place where people already know each other well and we are completely new – the fears are well founded. What to do so that the new job does not turn out to be so stressful for us and how to help yourself adjust to it? We will try to answer this question.

New job means new opportunities

It is certainly much easier a new job in a company where we already know some of the employees. Such a person can help us get to know the team, introduce us to the structure of the company, and familiarize us with the prevailing customs. However, we often enter a completely new environment. We meet people who have been working together for a long time, they are close and close together. It may seem to us that there is no chance of becoming part of the team. Remember, however, that we enter a new company with a blank slate and it is really worth working on the first impression we make. We have an influence on them and even if the previous job was a torment for us, because we couldn’t get along with our colleagues, in the next one we have a chance to start all over again. Attitude is important here – we should give ourselves a chance!

How to find your new job?

First of all, be positive. A new job should make you optimistic. Don’t assume the worst scenarios in advance. You will certainly feel better when you take care of your appearance. Dress elegantly (it is worth getting acquainted with the company’s dress code in advance), take care of your hair or nails. This should boost your confidence. It is worth showing from the very first day that you are not in the company by accident and that you care about the best start. Your coworkers will appreciate that you take your new job seriously and don’t seem like someone who just wants to earn money without paying much attention to anything else.

Remember to smile as well. If you greet people with a sad or bored expression on your face, you won’t make a good first impression. Say hello to each new person you meet, send a smile to them, exchange a few sentences. Overcome your shyness. It is true that too much openness may be misconstrued, but the golden mean will show from the very first moments that you are ready to cooperate.

Usually, the newly hired person is shown around the company and put on the job by one selected employee. So show him respect, show him he is not wasting time with you. First of all, take notes, even clichés. If someone tells you for an hour what you need to do, and you just sit and watch and then ask questions again after a while, you will find it hard to get sympathetic. Respect your time and the time of others, take a pen in your hand and write. Thanks to this, you will not have to take up someone else’s time, and after a certain period of time, you will know exactly what to do. Of course, there is nothing wrong with the question itself, so if something happens to you during the input – write down the questions right away. Remember, however, that the person who introduces you to the secrets of the company also works. So if you want to ask about something, don’t expect your question to be the most urgent matter. Wait if you have to, don’t be demanding. After completing the training, it is worth thanking for your time.

Also try to find out about the company’s habits. Perhaps you bring a cake for your birthday, and after your first paycheck, it brings you something equally delicious. Ask someone what it looks like. Bringing a delicious cheesecake will surely make it easier for you to connect with others – who refuses to chat over a piece of sweetness?

Don’t slack off under any circumstances. A new job means new responsibilities, so let’s show that we are hardworking. It often happens that we do not know exactly what to do, and we finish the tasks entrusted to us much faster than someone could have assumed. In the end, it turns out that we still have 2 hours to leave work, and we are already sitting idle. What to do then? Certainly not to laze with impunity! Our coworkers will certainly not look favorably upon us when we wander around Facebook for an hour. So when we finish our task, let’s ask what else we can do. If the tasks for us are over so far, let’s ask colleagues if we can help them with something. This way they will see that we can be counted on, and laziness is out of the question.

Avoid gossiping as well. We’ve only just started working, so let’s give everyone equal chances. If someone tries to draw us into intrigues for good morning, let us signal that we do not want to do it and form an opinion in this way. Think how many times you have succumbed to gossip and then found out that the people you talked about were the most helpful and sympathetic? It is not worth getting into such arrangements.

Also, don’t be imperious and haughty. Do not judge the work of others, do not speak to them with superiority. Even if you feel you know how to do more, you are a specialist in your field – refrain from evaluating. You don’t really know how your coworkers work, you haven’t read your own assignments yourself, so if you start by judging, surely a good atmosphere will evaporate quickly.

New job is a whole new chapter in our lives. So let’s try to make it the best experience possible. Almost everyone would like to work in a team that is close-knit and functions as one organism. After all, a good atmosphere is extremely important. However, for this to happen, you need to put in a lot of work at the beginning and make yourself known as a nice, smiling and hard-working person. Be open to others and you will surely make it!
